On Sunday, June 6, flag football teams gathered to participate in the Flag Football Super Bowl at Centreville High School. After months of practicing and playing football games in the spring, SYA athletes competed to win the championship, showing the skills they had gained throughout the season.

One of our Spring Interns, Hannah, had the opportunity to talk about SYA Flag Football, with one of the coaches. 

What was your favorite moment of the game?
Teaching the kids & having fun with the kids.

Why did you become a flag football coach?
My youngest son plays on this team, so I wanted to spend more time with him on the weekends and we both play football.

What do you like about SYA?
It’s a great family organization. It treats its members very well, and it’s very organized.

What do you like about flag football as a sport?
I love football in general, everything about football. It’s just the greatest sport.
