Winter House teams are grouped into Divisions and Leagues by sex, grade, and, where necessary, by geographical area as follows:

• Beginners – Grades 1, 2 and 3
• Juniors – Grades 4, 5, and 6
• Middle School – Grades 7 and 8
• Boys High School – Grades 9/10 and 11/12

• Girls High School – Grades 9-12

Eligibility

Players in 1st through 12th Grade are eligible to participate in SYA Winter Basketball. All must register to be placed on teams. In addition to registration, players in 4^ththrough 12^th Grade must participate in a skill evaluation. Registration Deadlines by Division

Register as soon as you can – it helps our commissioners get organized and recruit coaches. Players who register by the deadlines below are eligible for teams. All players who register after the applicable deadline will be waitlisted and may not be placed on a team.

• Beginners: January 1^st
• Juniors and Middle School: January 1^st
• High School: January 1^st
